Although these regulations do not have my support, they could be complied with on any Condenser node. Whitelists could be compiled of properly registered users (like TheOverLord's account was scrubbed on steemit) and certain content to be blacklisted for distribution as well.

It is not something we would want to see, yet it is not the death knell for blockchain social media in China.

I suspect blockchain based social media will do just fine in China, in much the same way that WeChat and Weibo have done in the mainstream space - by cooperating with the government as much as is necessary - possibly in the ways that your describe.
