Are you using IPFS?
It's been a few years since I last looked at IPFS and boy has it matured! For those of you that don't know, IPFS stands for the Inter-Planetary File System. Think of it like a giant peer-to-peer CDN.
By running the software anybody can share files and browse other files that are shared. Copies of the files get spread around to everyone else running the software creating this super large cache.
And now they have a Chrome Extension and Firefox Add-On that make browsing the web with embedded IPFS content seamless! If a page has embedded IPFS content, it will automatically translate the URL to either use the public IPFS gateway or your local gateway depending on which is running greatly speeding up the web for you and everybody else!
From here on out every image or video I post going forward will be done via IPFS. I encourage you to do the same!
I'm trying but there's very few content. I've pinned a handful of things though, like the videoclip of Never Gonna Give You Up or that folder which works as a CDN for Bootstrap and jQuery, not much else though.
Well going forward everything I share will be on IPFS. The more people that use it the more it will grow!
Do you have any decent source on hashes? All I've found are quite "low-quality": either can't be found anymore, or are not interesting for me.
https://ipfs-search.com/#/search is your best bet.
Yeah, I was afraid using that considering IPFS was proven to be somewhat tough to index, but eventually I guess it's still a better solution than relying on link collections as if it's 1997.
Thanks!
