Help Support Minnow Pond!
We are trying to expand minnowponds effect on the community! We are trying to gain discounted rates on renting delegated steem power. Below is a post outlining our mission goal. PLease leave a comment below telling us if you appreciate our service!
We really believe 2 things.
- Everyones opinion is has a value.
- The more people who have a stake in a cryptocurrency the more valuable it should be.
We are trying to help bring more steem power to the lower Steem Power accounts here on steemit to potentate these ideals! MinnowPond will automatically upvote all future posts made by any user who follows @minnowpond for FREE! Currently minnowponds votes are not all that powerful, But if the community really rallied behind our project we could grow VERY fast. If you would like to help support @minnowpond and in doing so help out the over 3,500 people that @minnowpond is helping support! You can do some of the following things!
- Resteem posts made by minnowpond
- Upvote comments / posts made by minnowpond
- Use our resteem service! By simply sending 0.2 SBD to @minnowpond with the url of your post in the memo you will be resteemed to 3,500+ followers! (all donations will goto renting more delegated steem power)

This is so fundamentally flawed.
Your two premise are wrong.
Everyone value their own opinion would be more accurate.
Please define people on this blockchain.

While I appreciate your opinion was flagging this post absolutely necessary? Just because you had tons of money to invest into steemit does that make your 1 opinion more important then the 140+ people who thought that this was a good idea?
On Steem, Yes, and one could generally argue that having earned lots of money is the result of having more valuable opinions.
I dont understand what wrong was done here? I want to know for my self for future reference. I don't see how 1 person could flag something and take away all the upvotes from the time that was put into the post. Like mentioned above, some people found intrest in this post. Infact many more would if it was more visible.
You left your message by leaving a comment and having a discussion. The only other reason to flag would be to remove the rewards of something you do not agree with receiving rewards.
It's highly unfair to the entire community that you are able to make this post go invisible just because you disagree. Now, even others with similar value to yours won't even be able to see this and come and disagree with you as they would if they had otherwise.
Please reconsider changing your vote so that the rest of the community may be able to see this project and make their opinions known, your message has been received.
By flagging this to minus 70$ the message I'm sending is just stronger.
The message is stop wasting your time with yet another flawed socialist save the minnows project.

So far this project only produce useless spam.
By removing the rewards this project would be receiving, which all rewards are powered up, you are effectively continuing to make it so that there is only spam. We are all minnows running this project, but if you wanted to donate/delegate some SP then perhaps we could grow more quickly and be able to help more immediately.
Not trying to step in a big pile of anything by replying to this comment in particular, but the real problem here is that you'll never know which account... or if hardly any of the accounts, are real human beings.
Schemes like this one - no matter if this was the intention or not - are often used simply to mask money printing for one or a few individuals and for no good reason what so ever.

The ONLY THING flagging does is take the rewards away, as well as help ruin somebody's Reputation #.
I seriously hope you realize this, especially if you normally flag accounts the second you don't agree 100% with them... You can comment, which is literally "to send a message", and then you can flag, which is "taking some reward away". It appears you flagged with 100% of your voting power too, which negates the upvotes from over 100 people! Please tell us that you knew this already, and weren't ignorant to such obvious facts...

I don't get why you would flag an account that helps out everybody, and then you upvote your own comment? Be careful my friend because you're definitely leaning more towards the abusive side. It would be a bummer to see an article written by @sherlockholmes about you...

Well yeah, I do. Your 1% upvote gets you more than $1.00 so to pretend that that doesn't add up over time would be a gigantic lie. You don't care that people LOVE the $0.01 upvotes that minnowpond gives out for free and you take $1.00 for granted. Try to think about the little guys, and who you're screwing over next time you flag people... You don't think $1.00 is a lot, whereas, everybody following MinnowPond thinks $0.01 is a lot.
If you don't agree with what MinnowPond is doing (which is unclear at this point; It seems you got caught up in semantics instead of what MP actualy does for people), then perhaps you should start your own service helping out minnows, instead of flagging their support away!
Minnowpond isn't giving 0.01$ but closer to 0.0001$ and it's not doing it for free, It's polluting the comment section / blockchain and begging people for support.
Minnow is a diminutive term I'm not fond of, I up-voted you, if that's what you mean.
You’re right that Minnow is a somewhat derogatory term, I’ll give you that. What I suggest is that Minnow Pond, when they comment, they say “To opt out of these comments, reply STOP”. This would cut down on the pollution you speak of. With that being said, all these people out there with zero Upvotes and zero Followers probably don’t mind their comments 😏
I have appreciated the minnowpond service. I think it's great, since it doesn't ask for anything in return, which new users do not have.
Have you considered seeing if minnowpond was eligible for becoming affiliated with the Minnow Support Project? If it became a project on the delegation list, it might help with a drive for more delegated SP. I'd add some.
Hi @lexiconical, Thanks for the feedback! We appreciate it all and hope to bring the best tools to help newcomers, minnows, and all seeking some help. As for the MSP question it would have to be discussed amongst the team as any sort of oversight does demand certain restrictions. This would all have to be looked into and weighed out for the best solution for our users.
