Getting back on the Coding Saddle
Only those who've known me for a very long time, know that I used to code back in the day. Yes, before it was "cool", even though that it's still up in the air as far as I know. Sometimes I wonder why I abandoned it, and honestly I'm still not one hundred percent sure if my reasoning back then was in any way valid or even logical, but as they say hindsight is always 20/20.

Bringing Balance
I'm under no delusion that I'm going to be the next best developer for this blockchain or any blockchain for that matter, but I do believe that getting my feet wet and learning enough so that I can carry some burden if you will is a good thing. Why? Simply because I care, and that's about all I need to know that it's going to be worth it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to focus mainly on community, since it's probably the one thing that I feel most comfortable doing, but being a witness with helpie makes me want to up my game if you will on the techie side of things above what anyone would consider "normal". This is so that I can participate in a more active manner of the conversations that happen in the undecipherable language that techie people love to pass as plain English.
I'm going to enjoy it
I'm going to try to remember the mission here. I'm going to have some fun, relearn a skill I used to be pretty good at, and all while the tech has gotten that much crazier and somewhat simpler. It's kind of a relief to not have to worry about memory spills (coding c back in the day) or anything of that sort.
I'm also looking forward to being a lot more active on github, and possibly getting the ball rolling on this onboarding challenge we are facing. I wrote down some ideas a while back, Ura-soul outlined the plan perfectly, so I'm breaking it down to digestible bites and I'm close to completing one element already.
At any rate... Here's to nerding out!!
Much love
Good on ya @meno! It's a valuable skill to have and it is wonderful if you can put all your resources (coding included) into play!
Looking forward to see what you come up with in the new year!
Every learning journey is worth if you enjoy it. @hedac enjoys coding too, haha, I stopped at copying those old 80s programs in basic
Goto, return, print LOL
Hahaha I loved basic

I would meticulously type all the programs just to see the cheesy graphic a being printed at my Amstrad 64k green screen LOL
I have never coded but as I fallen down the rabbit hole more deeper I have thought of at least understanding it as well. I have book waiting for me to read and see if I can take baby steps in some future. Look forward hearing your progress!
