RE: The difficult questions

in #steem6 years ago (edited)

@meno well said. I will mention again what I mentioned before. The community here says “we” a lot. And while that’s a good thing for a community, it doesn’t mean that “we” are Steemit Inc. There are indeed some great people who have done some great things. You have done great things. At the end of the day though, Ned, as the CEO has the final say, not “we.” There are other platforms here, and coming soon that are competitors - which means Steemits’ window of being ahead is shrinking. Real talk. I hope it gets fixed-so many great people here. But to have mass adoption, well it’s gonna take more than tech talk and working on data storage. I have tried to get people on board here, they were never able to get on - the sign up process has never worked properly since I’ve been here. The general public does not care about the technical side of things: the code used for iOS or Windows - they want to turn the computer on and use it. You do need technical people in a business though. I have admin people, instructors, an accountant, sales and marketing etc.
In business you need

  1. A product that works better (or cheaper and better)
  2. Marketing
  3. Sales
That’s just how it works. Everything here is mostly technical it seems. It’s so cool that you, and many other leaders/large accounts have taken up making Steemit a great place to network - my hats off to all of you-you are amazing people indeed. But, at the end of the day, Ned/Steemit Inc. determines what gets done ...or not done.
Much success to everyone-let’s hope for the best. 😊✌🏾
