A legitimate case for 1000$ per STEEM

Yes. I am talking STEEM at BITCOIN prices.

Well Facebook is valued at 400 Billion

So assuming STEEM has 400 million coins in circulation by the time it reaches mass adoption. It might have less with only 10% inflation per year but to be safe lets say 400 million.

So with a marketcap of 400 Billion and 400 million coins in circulation the price of one STEEM is easy to calculate.
400 Billion / 400 million = 1000 $ per STEEM

The problem is that Steem is not a traditional equity. It has elements of an equity, but it lacks dividends. It also has elements of a currency, which traditional equities do not.

This makes it harder to compare market cap directly. On the plus side, due to the currency aspect (and the requirement for economic participants to hold for liquidity purposes and normal business operations, which is not so important for Facebook shares), I believe this makes your comparison a gross underestimate.

Another way of putting it: People hold Facebook shares pretty much only to invest in Facebook. In a Steem-dominant economy, there would be far more reasons than that to hold Steem.

...and that's where dreams come true :)

Well we can hope for one day in the future!

my account would be worth 68 thousand dollars
