I can see a single post with nothing special go viral and at the other end, 2000 words unique handwritten article has a very little engagement.

I can see a single post with nothing special go viral and at the other end, 2000 words unique handwritten article has a very little engagement.
I can't imagine that it's anything different from owning a self-hosted blog or starting a YouTube channel. It takes time and will likely grow the more you interact with others. Learn to network (i.e. leave insightful comments on content) and help leverage your content.
Of course, I'm new to the community, but I joined with the expectation that I probably won't have an audience for a very long time. Some of the posts I've seen suggest there are some who join thinking they're going to get rich or become a celebrity overnight. These are unrealistic expectations. If something is truly worthy of viral status, it will go viral. First, brand yourself.

@mati786 frankly that my question as well. I still confuse how to post something that get more attention and vote from another steemian. The best suggestion I got from my friend is we have to be more patient. Just post something original from us. It need a long process indeed.

that nothing special posters are probably here long time. and as i seen it goes here like everywhere else, if you are big you make money no matter what you do. and there is that curation money that i am not really sure how it works, so you are probably better of commenting someone that makes money then somebody that has no views. not really sure.
Even earning Steem is difficult like earning traditional money. This of course if you work the honest way.
It doesnt take anything special to go viral. There is a small user base on SteemIt making it much easier for people to see your post.
You can create a post introducing yourself and it may go viral.
