Engaging Community members Through Distribution of Steem Blockchain Dollars To Commenters. New Accolade As Top 100 Comments Curator
Rewarding commentators/commenters with steem blockchain dollars (SBDs) through upvotes, in my opinion, is a beautiful way to engage and build communities on the steem blockchain.

When someone comes to make a comment that adds value (not spam) on your blog post, I think the nicest thing to do is to reward the person, no matter how little. One cent (0.01 SBD) is better than nothing. The 1 cent and more which you distribute to those who comment, when comments are upvoted, usually goes to the steem reward pool and paid out to authors of comments after 7 days. Please, screen shot below of distribution of stake by the steem blockchain (steem reward pool) in the last 30 days.

This act of benevolence by Steemians who contribute by curating content (including comments) is appreciated. It is a major contribution to the proof-of brain (POB) algorithm clearly stated and explained on page 1 in the steem bluepaper. That 7-paged steem bluepaper is a MUST READ!
Since I joined planet steem 7 months ago, I have been known as one who likes to incentivize my fans by voting on not just posts alone, but their comments as well, based on my judgement of how much value they contribute to the community. I vote on comments, not because I am compelled to, but because I consider it very important to encourage discussion around the theme, which has been presented by content creators. The content you have created is as important as the comments. Believe it or not, many people may only peruse your beautiful post, especially when the content is too long or incomprehensible. I know for sure that when some visit to read blog posts, they only do so to read comments. More so, many only go to the comment section and see how people are commenting and make their contributions based on those comments. I do that , sometimes, especially when I do not have the time to read a very long post. My contribution to the steem reward pool is beginning to pay off. I am so excited about the new accolade that I got yesterday and the day before as one of the top 80 and top 100 curators of comments in the steem community. Please read entire post.
Top 80 Effective Steemit Curators Who Encourage Discussion (19/10/2017)
I like statistics, maybe because my father is a mathematician and statistician. So, I look out for statistics and try to understand as well as analyze numerical data. My affinity for numerical data made me come across 2 interesting posts, authored by @boddhisattva. This is how he introduces the post titled-TOP 80 effective Steemit сurators that encourage discussion for the 2017.10.19
I want to share with you statistics about the most effective Steemit curators.
This statistic is not about how much the authors or curators have earned. This statistics shows the list of curators, whose contribution to the reward pool distribution is the most significant. Read more from source.

Do you vote/curate fellow Steemians comments or just your comments only? Please share in the comments section.
Please, let us head to @botthisattva's blog and appreciate him for putting together the statistics which I have shared. I think it would be a good thing for those whose names appear on the list of top 100 comment curators to vote on @botthisattva post(s) from time to time. That would encourage him. Honestly, I do not know him, neither have we interacted before, but I feel that his posts deserve more recognition and love. Thank you.

Hello @maryfavour
I found this post so nice to read because it will trigger more curators to upvote comment. I actually know less about this trend because am still very young on this platform but as long as you and others keep helping and keeping us up for this community ,i see a better uniformity within us.
Thank you for this and never relent on brining us up.
@bollutech
It's nice to see you here, @bollutech. Yes, hopefully, my post
Don't worry, things will get better. Steem whales, orcas, dolphins, witnesses may read the post, when they have time and take action. Thanks for your appreciation and support. Keep steeming!
@maryfavour for @redfishpillar.
Thank you for responding to me @maryfavour , my hope is high as long as i have you and others around to get inspired from you .
You know i love you mama
You are most welcome, @bollutech. I'm always glad to be an inspiration to people.
Wow! I love you too, dear.
Smiles, much love i've got for you mama.
I bless the day i met you and @surpassinggoogle you guys are such an inspiration.
I know someday, i'm gonna make us proud.
Love you too ma
Keep hitting it more harder. The truth here is that the comments in which we make in each others post shows how we cherished the author's good work and being grateful of what we learnt from the post. The more we appreciate a comment to our post which is expected to go through the steem reward pool, mature in 7 days then deliver to the authors of the comments, is the more comes our steem reward...
Is more important to know that one of the great tool for a successful Steemit blogger is all about relationship with its Constant good communication(comments). Thanks for reminding us. You are always on right point.
Glad to see you here, @chrisdsteemsport.
Very correct. I couldn't agree more with you on this.
Building relationship with those who comment on posts is important to me. However, some don't care about this. I understand the time it takes to respond to almost every comment in the thread. The fact remains that new issues are identified when authors take time to read comments in the thread and respond to as many as they can. I really appreciate your contribution. Thanks a lot!
@maryfavour for @redfishpillar.
It is very encouraging when you get an upvote on your comment, I think I have to start doing the same.
I couldn't agree more, @oluwatobiloba. Seriously consider doing same. Keep the steem fire burning.
I will Ma.
Very well then, @oluwatobiloba. Cheers.
Those who commented so much over the past few days deserve a medal, considering the fact that Steemit was down so much.
At some point, after trying three times to post a comment you just give up! Fortunately, things seem better today.
Hello, @ladyrebecca.
Welcome first time to my blog! I agree with you to an extent that
It appears that many Steemians out there do not know that there are alternative user interfaces (UI's) to access the steem blockchain like busy.org, chainbb.com, steemitstage.com. Please, help inform others.
Alright. Here, I give you a medal for commenting when steemit.com UI was down.
@maryfavour for @redfishpillar.
Wow, that's nice. Thanks!
And, yes, like many others I had to log in on busy.org and was every bit as confused. The feed looks cool, but, you know, it doesn't feel like home!
It's my pleasure, @ladyrebeccca. I'm glad that you like the medal.
Oh oh! busy.org was confusing? I understand how it is when one is in a completely new terrain. So, you are right to state that
The UI for busy.org more like facebook. It's not really as complicated as people think it is, maybe because they are not used to it. I am planning to do a basic video tutorial on how to navigate busy.org. Hopefully, that tutorial will help a lot of people.
It is truly an act of benevolence to reward good commenters on your blog. As a redfish, i do give upvotes on comments too, though they get 0.02 - 0.05 but it is a good way to say thank you for reading my blog.
You are truly a good woman and you deserve all the best! Thanks for contributing to many people's lives.
Bravo, my brother! Please, continue in that light. Don't stop. I absolutely agree with you that it is a good way to say thank you...
Your commendation is much appreciated. Thank you for your support too. Steem on!
WOW!!! I'm happy to see you one the list Ma, apart from being on the list, it defines or tell us how effective you've been on steemit world..... You are effective in the real world too Ma... I'm sincerely happy to have such a mentor and a role model like you Ma, please continue leading right Ma....
Thanks for your kind words and commendation, @honourmaus.
These words are very deep and are a challenge to remain a good role model, who impact lives positively. I pray God to help me live up to this challenge. Amen!
@maryfavour for @redfishpillar.
You are welcome Ma.
Amen!!!
Am happy for your new ranking, its indeed an honour well deserved, your hard works here will soon take you to the first 10 top curators, also your appreciation of comments is really encouraging, most people simply overlook comments but you don't. Thank you ma.
The goodwill expressed is much appreciated, @dubem-eu.
I pray so too. Hopefully, that will expedite growth of redfish the more.
Well, it's the choice of the curator to decide whether or not to curate both posts and comments. It's my choice to distribute SBDs through voting on comments. It is my way of encouraging my fans to read my blog post and saying thank you to them for taking time to read. Cheers.
@maryfavour for @redfishpillar.
Hello @maryfavour
Thank God that you were remembered and singled out among the pool of the curators that appreciate comment.
It is good to know that any steemian that realy find time to comment on a post really appreciate the author and it will encourage such steemian if he/she recieve a cent on such comment no matter how small it might be. How i wish this act can be build upon by other curators to help the community more. Especially those minnows that struggle hard for their posts to be noticed.
Keep the good work going.
@maintain4real-eu
Hi @maitain4real-eu. Yes, thank God that I was singled out.
That encourage factor for fellow Steemians cannot be overemphasized
Hmm...believe it or not. I've come to know authors by the way they commented on my blog. If they comment well, I go visit their blogs and upvote their posts. Something which you should realize is, some veteran steemians might not really vote on your comments, but they'll visit your blog to vote on your undervalued posts. Thanks for your contribution. I really appreciate it.
@maryfavour for @redfishpillar.
Congratulations ma... Its good to reward commenters too, its a sign of also making them to visit always. You're doing excellently well ... God's blessings as always.
Thanks a lot, @sweetestglo-eu! I appreciate your kind words and commendation.
True. Fans love to be incentivized, no matter how little. Something else I've noticed is that newbies like to enter contests. God's blessings on you too, sister. Cheers.
@maryfavour for @redfishpillar.
Thank you for you hard work and commitment. I'm literally 2 days old here and seeing your articles has helped me understand the platform more. Looking forward to your future posts.
Hi @xhodan! A very warm welcome to planet steem and to my blog. I'm glad that my posts have been of value to you. As a newbie, you might want to follow, @redfsihpillar's blog and discord channel to help support and speed up your growth. I appreciate your comment and support. Thanks you.
