This is a continuation of the last post. There are some things that have been changed, but the main and mostly final idea of how we will handle bringing this content on. And more importantly, how this will work out for people who vote on this content regularly.

Primary Goals

• Regular content Hobby craft content
  We're wanting to create content that is entirely powered by steem and the steemit platform. Particularly, what in my opinion is the greatest hobby out there, Warhammer 40k. I want to post artistic and creation processes. Showcase the artistic and uniqueness of this to everyone. Content such as: Painting processes, Creation processes, Model showcases, educational and how tos, Lore creation and discussion, tatica and strategies for playing the game.

• Building a Competitive Army roster
  Now our content will have another side of content. We won't just be showing painting processes, assembly tutorials, but we're going to build a roster that will be competitive in the warhammer 40k gaming realm.

• Exposing STEEM to the world
  Now, I have made the error of advertising the steemit platform before. Every initiative that I've taken to help promote STEEMIT has actually backfired and netted me a loss in followers. So this time, we want to expose the STEEM technology. So as a result, Steem will be the main focus, and will be used to build the lore behind this particular army roster. When people ask about our army and what it stands for, it will be for STEEM, the blockchain technology, the cryptocurrency.

So, the only way that this project actually succeeds is with the curation and upvote of a few big users.

Why do we need strong votes:

• Warhammer 40k is extremely expensive hobby
  Actually, it really is. Between the costs of paint and hobby equipment to the models, We're looking at a very ambitious project here in terms of costs. Some armies require at the minimum 500.00 to get a barebones force set up.

• Strong Voters are going to get free stuff
  To further incentify support for this content, We're going to be doing a lot of unique models based on the voters. Essentially, we will be creating 2 models for every strong support. 1 Copy of the model goes to the pledgee, one gets added to the Army roster for play.

• We don't want to rely on outside projects to get this project rolling
  One of the things that has come up for funding is patreon. Which would infact help especially with the fact that steem's value is always fluctuating. That being said, We want to keep means of funding primarily from the steem related platform, and other funding sources secondary.

• We want to expose everyone to the awesomeness of hobbycraft
  Specifically, warhammer 40k.

So we would need supporters of this content, For both exposure, sustenance and growth.

Of course, getting someone to believe in your content is a battle that is fought by every single steemian big or small. Now, this is entirely a work in progress, but I have come up with a general idea of how to incentify, and prove to big users, this content is worth following.

Now, this would have to be based on either a pledge-based system, or a tenure-based system. I'm still working out the kinks, but here's what I have so far..

Why Support this content

Integrating yourself/brand into the content

This is actually a big one. When I say integrate yourself with this content, I literally mean, taking you, who you are and what you represent, and creating content around you. If you're a huge whale that upvotes this content the most, you will be translated into the army and lore as such. A strong and high unique character, based on some of your backstory, named after you, painted down to how you look like and even having your logo as a type of insignia on an expensive model.

To help further elaborate, let's take @cryptoctopus as an example, who has pledged to this project already. His upvote is pretty strong, capable of bumping a post up by 50-60 SBD. Which means that's an extremely large contribution. As such, a miniature, which I will customize, to best reflect @cryptoctopus will be introduced to the STEEM MARINE arsenal, complete with @cryptoctopus's Logo, and will reflect his contribution to the project by this miniature's rank and importance to the Army.

This will not be limited to a person. I am fully aware that there may be groups or communities that may want to support this content. There are plans for that as well. For example, what if @adsactly wanted to support this content. Well, instead of making unique characters which high ranking. How about a unique Elite Unit or Squad. Squad @adsactly, composed of unique characters based on members of @adsactly.

The sky is literally the limit, as Warhammer 40k has one of the most richest and unique army and character lore and models, and it's all customizable with character kits.

Even small elite units are not the limit. What if @minnowsupport had a huge hand of supporting this content and wanted to make it's mark on the Steem Marine arsenal? Well, We're currently representing mankind, so we can easily decide to do Astra Militarum. Let's have a squad of infantry based on all the moderation staff of @minnowsupport, with key members being lieutenants. We have the technology. We can build it.

Have a hand in shaping the lore

Now, My creative writing is pretty non-existent, I will most likely have to hire someone professional to assist in the writing. That being said, that just makes this aspect even more awesomer.

Supporters will have to vote on certain narratives that will present itself that will influence the lore. Now, this may be part of a narrative campaign, which will shape the nature of future games present. Or perhaps, we will just split them up for twice the amount of interactiveness for our supporters. Which I really like the sound of.

Posts of the lore will be made, and supporters will be able to vote on specific choices the leadership of the army has to take. The results will be recorded and may even influence this army, creating a dynamic history.

Think about this guys.. What if @berniesanders supported this, and was the chapter Master of the STEEM MARINES. But since Bernie just loves to shake the boat, what if a choice presented itself where he decides to follow chaos. BOOOM. SUDDENLY A HUGE BOMB IS DROPPED ON THE STEEM MARINES.

SOME PEOPLE WILL BE OUTRAGED, SOME PEOPLE WILL BE DOWN WITH IT. SUDDENLY, A NEW ARMY OF CHAOS SPACE MARINES IS CREATED, SPLITTING UP THE STEEM MARINE ARMY. COMMAND STRUCTURE IS CHANGED, CIVIL WARS WILL BE FOUGHT, CAMPAIGNS WILL BE BATTLED TO DECIDE THE FATE OF THE STEEM MARINES.

Do you see what I mean? If you're not hyped about this, something is definitely wrong with you.

Battle Reports

So, what is a battle report some of you may wonder? Well, it's actually pretty simple. It's basically a video or stream of an actual game of warhammer 40k being played. It will be presented in a clear and high-quality way. As I will be picking up high-quality recording equipment.

I mean, this content will be all about bringing the experience to you guys, and playing the actual game is a portion of the experience of warhammer 40k.

Free Stuff

Free expensive stuff actually. Every unique and tributed model that is created, will actually be created twice. 1 for the roster of the Steem Marines to be used in future content and battle reports, and one sent to the tributed supporter to do with whatever. These are high-quality miniatures, hand painted and customized by me.

Now for groups and organizations, these models can be sent to one location, or to multiple locations as needed.

Also, there will be other things that I will come up with monthly based on recent lore changes or events such as t-shirts and also be shipping these out to supporters free of charge.

Challenging the Competitive Scene

STEEM MARINES, CHARGE!

In addition to all of this content, STEEM MARINES will be taken to the competitive scene. We will be going to challenge other armies in the competitive scene at local and global tournaments. Where we will spread the good name of the STEEM MARINES and the STEEM blockchain to other people.

And lastly, All of this will be possible using Block-chain technology

Without anyone spending a penny (Except myself of course) all of this fantastic content will be brought to life and sustained using Steem and it's technology. All it needs is quite literally your support.

Side Notes

Some people will undoubtedly want to be part of the shaping force of this. Which is why I will be running a patreon that will grant similar but not quite the same benefits.

People will be able to support the cause and turning this idea into a reality, without having ridiculous amounts of steem delegation. However, to help encourage people to invest into the steem platform, the benefits will be balanced in a way that pledging will always yield more benefits, such as receiving copies of hand-painted miniatures for free.

Instead, people will be able to support this project via patreon, and have benefits such as being created as lower-ranking army soldiers, Discounts on getting painted miniatures, and possibly having a chance to win free stuff at goals.

The idea once again is to give people a chance to support this project, give them benefits, but also incentify investing into the platform.
