If You Are A Bloody Idiot, Use Bittrex! transaction issue
I did something bloody stupid, but thankfully the guys at Bittrex fixed it up the transaction. Here is the story of how I got my funds back.
I was transferring some SBD to bittrex the other day, and while I thought I had copied the memo properly, I hadn't. Also I didn't double check everything before clicking submit. However I have had the funds recovered to my account, I'll outline step by step what I did to get this rectified.
Step 1: Submit a Request
First go directly to Bittrex and submit a request, its on the first page (refer above picture). There will be a pulldown list, select the most relevant one for your request.
Fill out all your details.
You can attach files, i.e. screen shots if you have them, however it is not essential.
Step 2: Read & Determine Information To Be Provided
I got the auto response, which was asking for a transaction id / hash (in text, images are not enough). I didn't know what this was, but it turns out that it can be found at steemd.com. Just search for yourself on steemd.com
Step 3: Locate Transaction id
Once you have found the transaction, click the code in the top right hand corner (underlined in red above) to directly to the information for that transaction. You will be presented with the information similar to the below picture. The number that is underlined below is what you need. Cut and paste that into an email reply to the guys at Bittrex.
I was not expecting to ever see SBD (it wasn't much) ever again, however six days later, I received the following email confirming that the money had been credited into my account and the issue resolved.
The whole issue was resolved in six days, try do that at your bank. I have only just started using Bittrex after moving the last of my funds out of Poloniex, and after this could not be happier with it.
I would advise, that everyone be more careful with transactions then I was. But it is good to know that in an emergency, there is a reliable method to recover coins if necessary. Hopefully if you have made a mistake, this post will assist with the recovery of your missing coins.

I have always been happy with them. They have answers my service question promptly they are supporting bcc. Easy to use.
Yep I'm happy
I have done similar. It feels crap.
might be able to get it back
Great post!
Some of the blurred objects seem unnecessary to me though, since everything on the blockchain is visible to everyone, but I guess you made it slightly more difficult for someone to identify that information :)
Thanks for the post!
yeah thought it wouldn't matter, but Id already done it. mainly didn't want to let any of their names out, probably fake anyway, but you never know.
I was an idiot today and sent SBD to a BTC wallet on Bittrex. Thankfully not much, but i've raised a support ticket to try to recover it. I feel like such a NOOB. :D
Go grab your transaction id, pretty sure you'll get it back
that is what I did too. It wasn't much and I let it slide. perhaps I should raise one?
