Yes. For myself, the main reason for getting into bitcoin was not to escape from unsound (inflationary) money but to use a different kind of money. A money that doesn't need to go through some third party. You can make Bitcoin go through an exchange and it loses the best part of it. I hope my explanation makes sense to others.
