Yeah I also think it was an attempt to pass the buck. They were unsure of the code and wanted to save face by misdirecting the blame toward witnesses.

I think if someone sees a potential problem they should be able to present it off chain for further study. The witnesses are coming out of pocket for the sake of the network. At least let them get on the same branch and work together for all of our benefit.

This is my dream too that is why I am still here after all the BS and intend on staying. I believe in who I vote for. Stop mucking up my crypto!
