The BUY STEEM Function Is Missing From My Wallet
Hey everyone, I have an issue. I'm wanting to buy a bunch of STEEM low and keep it ON the Steemit platform, but the option to buy STEEM is gone from my wallet. What's going on?
Many are telling me to just go to an exchange and use a different wallet, but there has to be a reason why I can't access the option to buy on Steemit.
I figured this post would be good for troubleshooting this issue and may benefit others on Steemit wondering why they aren't able to buy low like this. It's the best possible time to buy at the moment and time is of the essence. Thank you!
Looks like they changed it. I get redirected to blocktrades website.
This must be a mistake, that's SO much more inconvenient.
I never bought any Steem using the buy function but It definitely looks like a few extra steps. Maybe they are partnering with blocktrades to try to clean up their code behind the scenes.
Do you know where I can find my STEEM address now? It always popped up when I clicked the buy button but now I don't even know where to find it! lol

No, it's not there for some reason. This is very odd. :S
My dear friend , just click on the arrow steem or steem power power and it should give you the option to buy steem . so looking at your steem power if you click on that arrow in front of 792.576 steem , it will give you 2 options, one to buy and one to power down to steem token . and if you click on the right arrow after 127.192 steem , it will give you options to transfer, transfer to steem power, power up, buy or market . I hope that helps . feel free to ask more questions
I know about that but it's about a hundred times more complicated than just pressing "buy" and scanning the code and pressing send. It keeps bringing up a page asking if I want to buy BitShares. Totally confusing.

So when you click the word STEEM revealing a drop down menu, you don't see "buy"?

Yeah, I don't want to deal with blocktrades, I simply want to scan the QR and send to my wallet :P
I had this issue. They remove the option if they are doing maintenance or something. I checked back the next day and it was back again.
You could always buy STEEM via Poloniex and just withdraw to your Steem Account.
Thanks for the info. It seems weird that they're doing this maintenance when the price is under $2 though. :/

But I bought STEEM this way just yesterday.
That's so day before yesterday... lol ... Me and my friends are open to ideas on stuff to program to make Steem easier.... does your wallet support plugins?
