RE: Some Steem Stats!

hey TeamSteem!! Thanks for the great article, it was definitely fascinating. There's one portion that I feel compelled to speak to.

One of the most interesting idea he puts out in these series is the idea that as society and technology advance people can produce more than they use to with less effort. To give an example multiple acres of blueberries can be harvested with only a couple of persons and giant robotic harvesters.

This means there should be more valuable resources for everyone for a smaller total effort. If the currency supply is stable this means a given amount of money should be able to pay for more resources as time passes.

I think it's worth noting that looking back historically the opposite has been true thus far. The amount and intensity of social stratification has actually increased since the beginning of the industrial revolution, and it's increased a lot. The idea that improved technological power means more of the proverbial pie for everyone simply doesn't match up. Could it someday? Sure. But I think it's really important give a sober look at this that story, who is using it, and where it's come from.

I'm glad you liked it.

I agree with you 100%. Stratification has increase and the improved technological power hasn't translated into more of the proverbial pie for everyone.

We produce more with less effort but only the top of the pyramid benefit under the current systems. Let's work toward new paradigms.
