So true! And regardless of it's monetary value, it deserves it's rightful place in our lives. It sets a standard for social media going forward. Monetary value, we all know is not synonymous with actual value. We live in a world where football coaches get paid more than state officials, police, ambulance, doctors, and counselors combined.

Also, better to do the conversion on the internal market right now vs. going through outside exchanges. SBD is temporarily low at 0.85 in external markets but is worth $1 on the internal market so you will get more STEEM going through https://steemit.com/market. Hope this helps and good luck!

Steem at 1.10 is an abolute steal!!! Congratulations! I'm glad you have utilized your SBD well because had you missed this dip, you would have to buy at higher rates and that means getting less Steem.
