I personally go with coins. My collection includes foreign coins, pre-1964 U.S. 90% silver coins, private mint .999 bullion and Silver Eagles (which are federally backed legal tender). I do have 1 small bar and a stack of Silver Strike casino tokens with .999 silver cores. There's many ways to do it, and most aren't wrong, but the legal U.S. Tender may be easier for trade and offers smaller sizes than 1oz.
