STEEM Trading System (Dollar Cost Averaging Experiment) FINAL RESULTS

The past month has been quite the rollercoaster with all of the blockchain drama, price pump and subsequent dump. We are still in some uncharted territory for now but I think that STEEM has a lot further to go in the near future.

I honestly had lost track of where I had left off on this experiment but wanted to give the final results before adding more funds to the trading account and scaling it up :)

Go big or go home they say!

Since the power down I had initiated is slowly paying me out weekly I decided to use that STEEM to add into my current portfolio so that I can try to increase my overall position.

Trading strategy rules:

1. Use approximately 10% of the starting reserves (in BTC) per day to BUY STEEM when the price is BELOW a set value. In this case that will be the moving average (center line) on the Bollinger Bands using 1-Day candles on the chart. Each 10% chunk will be considered a "unit".
2. Sell ALL STEEM when the price is above the upper range of the Bollinger Bands (1-Day candles), or 10% per day when ABOVE the moving average (1 unit).
3. After 5 consecutive days of buying, reduce buy quantity in half (5% or 1/2 unit).
4. If price is within 10% of the ALL TIME LOW, and there is 50% (5 units) or less reserve BTC, then I am allowed to "go all-in".
5. "Buy below, sell above" is the golden rule.

I started the experiment with 0.01367062 BTC, or $100 at the time. Ended the experiment with 0.01881690 BTC, or about $150 at the time of this post. Bitcoin ended up rising but then falling back to within 10% of its original price when I began.

Overall I would say this was an extremely successful and easy experiment so I am adding on funds to make the gains higher.
