Who is to say there wont be a massive paradigm shift in the crypto world and Steemit becomes the new Facebook where everyone and their mom has one. At that point Steemit could become a sort of peer to peer economy and banking system. There will always be uses and a community to support all of these projects (BTC, ETH, LTC, STEEM) but there could be a mass migration towards the network with least resistance. STEEM is still the MOST used block chain in the world, although it does not have the networking effect that Bitcoin has created (yet).
while a shift is definitely a possibility, I still don't see steem overtaking it. Plenty of other coins out there that better deserve that right. edit: also , thank you guys for commenting, I personally love discussions.
Steem will never overtake BTC, thats not possible to dethrone the one that started it all. But there is a bright future for Steemians ahead. P.S. If you love discussion, follow us and you will find our dedicated TG channels for crypto discussions and advice ;)
Let's hope there will be a massive shift because now the market is toxic. Why would a massive project like Steemit or for example EOS, VEN get dumped just because BTC tanks? How does it worse in the course of one day? Definitely, this is flawed. There should be more alts/fiat pairings.
