I have around 10K STEEM purchased from the exchanges. Can i use that STEEM to convert it to steem power?

Yes you can convert. Just remember it will take 13 weeks to power down. You will have some solid weight voting-wise. Around $3-4 if I had to guess since the hardfork.
Can i convert back to steem?
13 weeks to power down mean, STEEM takes 13 weeks to become steem power? Which i can use to upvote?
