[Preview] Dragoman: Notification & Automation Platform for Steem

Hello again, dear Steemians.

On this post, I want to share a sneak peek of a project I have been working on the last weeks.

1. Overview.

Imagine a world where you set some criteria, and determine a given action, which should be taken:

• If someone mentions you, then send an email notification right away.
• If there was mentions or replies to your posts, then email you an overview by the end of the day.
• If a payment becomes available, then notify you on Discord.
• If someone transfers you Steem, then post a webhook to your app.

Got the feeling?

Well, Dragoman purpose is to be your main automation tool for Steem.

2. It's Easy.

Yes, no need to code thousands of programming lines, we got you covered in a nice and easy-to-use dashboard:

That's it, an intuitive overview of your automation rules.

An automation rule is just 3 basic settings:

• A) What Steem accounts to monitor? Just yours? Maybe stalk a friend?
• B) What Steem operations? replies? votes? maybe both?
• C) What action to take? Send Email? Discord? Auto reply a comment with a thank you message?

3. Initial Features & Availability.

Dragoman development progress is currently 70% of the initial release. Which should be available for general use in about 2-3 weeks from now.

For the first version, I'm focusing mostly on the notification side of things, other automation types will be added as requested and possible after the initial release.

It means, for the first version, we will cover:

• Both near real-time and aggregated notification parsing (blockchain parsing).
• FCM topics for mobile developers.
• Discord and Telegram Notifications.
• Email Notifications.

4. Will Dragoman be Free?

Yes and No.

Sending emails and runnings servers are not cheap. But, it's open source software!

You are welcome to run your own instance OR pay a small fee to use the official instance.

Paid? How Much? The price is not fully defined yet, but it will probably be 0.001 SBD / Notification, meaning if you load your account with 1 SBD, that should be enough for about 1000 emails.

It means that if you want to receive an email daily, 0.365 SBD should be more than enough to cover a whole year.

Update 1.

While one way to use Dragoman will be by just transferring a small amount to load notification credits on the platform, upvote on some selected posts will be converted as credits as well. Just a way of using it without actually spending your balance.
