One of my favourite cities in the world is Paris and I decided to put my new found dollars to some good use!

It is @mullac birthday next month, he's never been to Paris (?!??!) and its one of my favourite places in the world! So what better way to surprise him and use my Steem Dollars to the best of their ability! 

So firstly, to plan a surprise weekend you need to free up a weekend for you both, as I don't begin University until the end of September it was fairly easy for me, however finding a weekend without giving too much away was quite difficult for him! In short, I said I wanted to spend a whole weekend with him for his birthday so we could get some quality time together: thus freeing up a weekend for both! 

After I had bought Eurostar tickets, a Hotel for over night and an extra boat trip for us to enjoy, I had to find a way to tell him! Most people usually would wait for his birthday and give him the tickets but what I thought would be more fun is to write a clue card for each week leading up to his birthday! They are as follows: 

The photos I used were quite generic clip art but the clue inside this card said: 

"You need to pack for where we are going, but do not worry it will not be snowing!!" 

This card had bikes on the front, it could quite easily be mistaken for London or a biking adventure! It said:

"Something to do with a bike? Somewhere I hope you will like!!"

Card three has a poodle and a moustache on so makes the clue guessing a little easier..

"A poodle and a Tash? Maybe it will be something quite flash…"

Now I think its easy to guess France or at least Europe! 

"What do you think, croissants and cheese? Bet you’re saying will you just tell me please!"

Any needed clarifications have been cleared up as it most definitely is France! 

"A land where they speak a different tongue, Its definitely a place to visit while we're young" 

This last card pretty much gives it all away and says inside..

"Here are some things you make see, I wonder where it could be?"

Inside this card, doesn't have a riddle but just all the details for the trip! 

I dont pretend to be the best at writing rhymes but I feel that they were imaginative and it is most definitely the thought that counts! All thats left to do now is go shopping! and then go to Paris, which I am so incredibly happy and feel so lucky that Steemit has enabled me to achieve something so great! Keep a look out next month because I most definitely will be doing a blog post about my trip! 

Note: if you're wondering, I couldnt keep it a secret and ended up giving @mullac all the cards this week, I was just too excited! But if you're good at patience, this kind of idea is great!!
