The future of Steem

Hey all!

This certainly has been an interesting week for me. With the announcement of the acquisition and the press releases, it surely has felt like a whirlwind. I am still learning details alongside the rest of the community and I’m hopeful things will become more and more clear as time moves forward.

Tron has something I feel Steem so desperately needs — marketing capabilities. There are many ways I can see this acquisition going very well for both Tron and Steem. Steem has really proven itself to be the vehicle that reshapes how social media is done. We’ve had so many engineering successes and very little hype. This all could potentially change in the near future and that is very exciting.

During my nearly two years working on the chain, I have been so impressed with the technical skills and passion this community has demonstrated. I am confident that you all are able to make tough decisions when necessary and I want you all to know that I am here to support you — whatever that entails.

Although the route may be unclear, I am sure that we can all work through the unknowns and continue the path forward together. Let’s Steem on!
