My interpretation of the diagram is connecting ShortStoryProject to Steem blockchain and creating its own SMT token. Liquid tokens will be SSP and vested will be VSSP, similar to Steem and Steem Power. Path laid out seems like similar use case of Steemit.com, VSSP will give users influence on ShortStoryProject website.

I can see benefits of using this model to reward authors and curators on the platform. Creating its own SMT with ease using Steem network will provide that ability. Most importantly existing Steem users will be able to use ShortStoriesProject instantly. There are many short story creators and readers on Steem. One of the communities that may have a great interest in this project is @thewritersblock.

What I can't really understand yet is, how pegging 1SSP = 1 Steem will be achieved? I would assume SSP would have its own use case and monetary value, not necessarily attached to Steem. I am curious how this peg can be achieved though.

In conclusion, I see all win for SSP. They don't have to change much of what they are doing. They will get innovative rewarding system for their users, which they can configure based on their use case, and needs. They will get entire Steem community as their users instantly. Managing their own private database, they will maintain full control of the content on their platform.
