My Steemit Path so Far

Well my concept about Steem and Steemit right now is ambivalent, you know I like the platform and the many uses it has, especially the part where you can actually make money here, and not just blogging, you can gamble, you can invest in SteemMonster cards, you can use video, you can curate and other stuff.

Now my path through Steemit has had its ups and downs, mostly because I have had to cash out money for outside needs, money I could have used to buy more Steem Power. But then again I believe this is the best example i can give of how useful Steemit is, it has actually pulled me out of some tough times in the real world. But if I had kept all that Steem powered up I don't know where I would be now, perhaps a dolphin and not trying to get to minnow. By the way I am really close I have 486 SP now, I think on Wednesday I will make the leap.

Of course getting involved with Steemit means you have to do one of two things or both, try to write and post articles that will get you some votes or, if you have the means, just buy Steem and get as high as you want just like that. Right now is, I guess, a good time to buy Steem to increase your Steem Power, but I believe that with the way Steem has performed the last few months many people might consider this to be tricky. I am no financial adviser, but I do know Steem's price does not really reflect what the Steem blockchain is capable of.

Steem really is complete, if you are a gamer there are all sorts of games already available, I have tried several of them, mostly the gambling ones where my luck holds steady, I lose at all of them. On Steemmonsters which is not really a gambling game I took three days to finish the last quest, I just got beat up every battle. Still I hang on there, I am getting 7 additional cards when this season is over, and a few every season from battles, so my cards just keep growing, very slowly but still they grow.

As for the other games I have not won at a single one of them I am down Steem in every game I have played, even the new one Taverngames, I played with 1 Steem worth of 0.1 coins and recovered some Steem back, but yesterday I played with two 0.5 tokens and all I got back was 0.002 Steem, But I think it is just that I don't have good luck if you wish, I always lose, betting, playing video poker, in fact the only game I win at is pool, when I play for money but that is because I am actually quite good at it so I nearly always win.

Then there are a lot of other apps on Steem, like Dtube and other video apps, Esteem which I really haven't tried, and some others but I really just play and post on Steemit so I am not that versed in all the apps available, but I have heard many of them are really great. Oh yes, I do use Steem-engine which I think is great.

But at the moment things are not going so good overall, mostly because the price is so low, I know a lot of people say "I'm not here for the money I'm here for the interaction", that is funny because most of the people who say this manly interact on Discord. But, yes the price has activity on Steemit at a very low average, and I really don't see how all of these new ideas like communities, SMT, hives and what have you are going to fix the price problem. I have seen what the daily movement of Steem is and it is very low, if this isn't fixed well price remains where it is or lower.

Overall I think Steemit is great, it has helped me out as I know it has helped out a lot of people, it is a Godsend for many folk in third world countries and it is also or at least has been a good money maker for investors in the developed countries. As I said right now things are not going well, I know if you look at the trending page you might come out thinking things are great but then you look at the price and you know that isn't true.
