Can Steem Appeal To Non-Writers and Work For Everyone?

I personally believe anything is possible and especially for those who are out here online and been plugging away for years on end. The fact that Steemit was indeed created to be a cool blogging platform that rewards those who go that extra mile online as bloggers regarding both being a writer as well as content curator is great.

"There's other ways to earn on here besides just writing, influence is a huge element which can be purchased as well so Steem wisely."

The true methods of earning money using any online platform as a content publisher aka original content creator. Pertains to the knowledge, skills, and passion such users have at their disposal. Doing research into how best to earn is by far the best way to go. As some people who join monetized networks and social Apps tend to do so without looking into the terms of use, or care to learn how such platforms actually work regarding earnings.

  • Note: content publishers may have large advertising budgets, and on Steem that's Bitcoins or Steam Power

Unfortunately the appeal to every single type of person, persons abilities, interests, talents etc... and the worldwide audience as a whole for such a blogging platform as Steem. May not be what each person is truly into currently, but that could change over time as more folks flock to it and learn the ropes to how-to blog and earn using Steem dollars, the theory behind cryptocurrency and how the Blockchain really works regarding purchasing Steem Power as well as Bitcoin conversions. Oh and let's not forget how to receive them juicy payout's.

  • Note: There's no ads out here as we all can see so the money being earned per post stems from purchasing Steem or Steem Power to influence others on a much larger scale then the average post, but it's not the only way to influence.

This reality is what I call the online hype effect for those who join due to word of mouth and from those who just hyped it up without doing the research needed to fully comprehend what they're leading others into. Yes it's possible for anyone to earn out here on Steem and mainly because you don't need to be a content publisher aka blogger to earn.

However, the amount bloggers are earning and can potentially earn is dramatically larger in dollar value based on some huge payout's many other top paid Steam Wales have been gettin paid, and some lucky noobs (I'm a noob too so don't sweat it, as we all are actually). Those who both curate (upvote) and comment with respect to the true relevance of what exactly the Steem blog post they read will benefit long term. Doing these sorts of interactions here will help them begin to earn more and more over time, but curators must make wise moves to discover content that potentially will become popular before others do. As curators are said to earn part of 25% of said Steem posts earnings. While 75% goes to the original content owner/content publisher who created said Steem post.

This is what I have researched thus far about being part of this community and for the non-writer end of the stick. As the content curator thing is much more a thing for those who enjoy consuming content, and providing great feedback. If you're here to do both then good on you, you're in for a good ride as far as what I'm hearing and seeing by paid members.

Can YouTubers, Vine video makers, musicians, artists, popular social media stars, etc.. also succeed on Steem?

Over time since this platform is so new to the Internet and Social Media (Steem started in June 2016), there will come those types of people who join that have already become mega popular online and offline. I firmly believe that if they post lets say only videos with a catchy title onto Steem and maybe a brief message about such. Such a thing will most definitely attract massive audiences and their profiles will instantly climb to the top of Steem becoming overnight killer whales out here. That is how popularity works online. (A Whale on Steem refers to those who are mega popular based on their content and social curation activities combined as well as Steem Power)

Can a average Steem member who isn't into writing earn money?

That 'anything is possible' statement mentioned up in the first paragraph is the truest answer here. No one knows who will join Steem or who is on here that hasn't yet gotten discovered by all users unless they invited such members over. We don't know what they are willing to learn, what they wish to do, their creativity levels, their motivation, passion, what their lives have been etc...

The fact that the Internet is so diverse and has so much to offer in terms of unlimited possibilities. Anything can happen tomorrow where some person decides to post about it and especially if they're the first to sense such a thing occurring on earth it could get noticed by other members here. "Reactionary original content tends to do far better than some every day occurrence anyone can write or blog about."

What powers does this highly probable anomaly have out here online, well look at what occurs each day when anything happens to go viral. YouTube is proof that anything is possible, then there's all the other networks where words matter, but being a well known author/blogger type of persona isn't required. So yes, experienced bloggers do have a slight advantage out here on this platform, but we cannot count out the possibility that others will be attracted to the true earning potential here as well as draw a massive audience with whatever they come up with.

If you're an Original Content Creator Stick Around

I recommend for those folks who are out here online generating original content as a creative type person to stick around. Even if you aren't receiving earnings here starting out you need to give it some time. I been online since 2009 working as a entrepreneur type. I didn't earn much at all starting out just like most start-up businesses. I joined many networks both free and paying monetized types.

The deal with being a member on any platform at the beginning it will be very tough to get noticed. You will need to dig deeply into your abilities and try to create stunning blogs to start out. Stay as consistent as possible at least one blog a week, and never get discouraged no matter what. Even if such a platform dies down, maybe gets shutdown. You should think about storing all of what you generate on a backup drive in case such occurs so your efforts aren't a total waste.

I write this because of joining many networks that were paying and truly promising . However, over time they failed miserably as start-ups. One was Bubblews and the other was TSU. Both networks promised their members that they could potentially earn Ad revenue royalties/revenue reward shares for posting and interacting. Over time I have indeed earned some money, but nothing that could ever replace a regular job/business model regarding earnings either weekly, monthly, or yearly.

Advice from epic failed experiences in networking

So a sound word of advice to those who are out here seeking to earn never place 100% faith or full dependence into anything out here online, especially when there's no way to tell how far it will go. Just take things as they come and try your best to stay positive through the experience. Sticking around by staying consistent out here will help as long as you balance out your time and efforts across all platforms, and never investing far to much in one more than any others.

To conclude if this blogging/networking platform achieves scale and sustainability long term in Social Media. All that's been discussed here will surely come to fruition where the platform may indeed work out for each and every type of user and as long as they do what is needed to discover how such works.

Should not be a problem for non-writers to make money from steemit. Upvoting and commenting on posts will also earn you some money. I have just joined steemit, i have yet to make money from my post but I had made money from my upvoting and posting of comments

Yes indeed I believe anything is possible as long as folks think positive about it all. The wiser moves we make out here will make all the difference as well just like anything dealing with investment of time, efforts and surely the money market aspects. Cool comment and nice to meet cha!

yea, we need to be persistence
