Josh Groban often gets upset when people tell him that he is lucky because of his singing talent.He advised that it took years of practice to get where he was vocally. Its not like he just woke up one day and was famous with albums and had the ability to sing on the spot.
So to me, I think talent is raw, directing it to allowing it to be constructive takes skill.

totally agree ...talent is the seed if it is not nurtured and deliberately cultivated it will amount to nothing I like what calvin coolridge said...... Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
