STEEM update 05.01.18
The STEEM/BTC pair looks extemely bullish right now. This corrective ABC pattern should be finished in the coming days. I expect another pump right afterwards.
The STEEM/USD pair is looking bullish too, but not as much.
And here we have a big picture analysis of the STEEM/BTC weekly chart.
At the current price of BTC, yellow wave 3 would be at 42$.
For me this means I will accumulate as much STEEM as possible and will not even think about cashing out in 2018... Maybe taking some profits into wave 5, but that is it.

I've been contemplating the tax implications if STEEM continues to rise and my payouts do too. It could make it so I owe quite a bit for 2018. Being a U.S. citizen has its advantages but our tax code SUCKS.
THanks for the analysis. I think STEEM needs to consolidate a bit before another move up as well and this dip is just part of it. NOthing to worry about. I never dreamed it would break $5 by this point anyway so this current price that's a bit lower than the all time high is still awesome in my book.

I also see an uptrend for steem. A good indicator is the growing steemit-crowd. The increased awareness is in the end the only relevant factor for a steady uptrend (for the long run). My personal opinion is that steam will reach up to 25 USD by end of the year :) Let's see
