BASIC GUIDE OF REPUJADO IN METAL. PART 1
In this first part I will talk about the thread technique.
Step 1. First you must draw the design or look for one.
Step 2. Place the design on the aluminum foil and fix it on it with adhesive tape.
Step 3. With a burin or metal tip (you can use a ballpoint pen without ink) you must transfer or pass the design to the aluminum sheet.
Step 4. From this moment we will talk about the reverse and right of the sheet, considering that the right will be where we transfer the image or design, and the reverse side, that is, the one we are seeing in the image.
Then, on the reverse, we will review each part of the drawing with the metal chisel or tip, on a sheet folded in two parts.
Step 5. For the right we will outline with the tool with metal tip, first inside, on a hard surface like nadera or glass.
Step 6. Then we will profile by the external part as in the image.
Step 7. With Teflon tips you can help to avoid mistreating the aluminum foil.
Step 8. To remove volume in the sheet you can help with another Teflon tool, it is flat at one end.
Step 9. Repeat the steps petal by petal, working one at a time.
Step 10. Finally with the Teflon tool, the volume and unwanted details are finished, achieving a clean and well-achieved image.
Next plubicación, the second part of the technique for embossing in metal: Plntacho and Acocado.
Note: The tools listed here were detailed in my previous publications on metal embossing.
