⏺Why the death of Chester Bennington is both very sad, and very inspiring.
I want you to read this entire article to feel the drive and motivation that I have right now.
For those of you who don't know, Chester Bennington (lead singer for Linkin Park) committed suicide 2 days ago. What's ironic to me, and also a little creepy, is that I started listening to music that morning on my phone, when I decided to play the entire Linkin Park album. Exactly 2 hours later, I found out that this man had just killed himself.
It was a very sad moment for me. I was alright for a couple of hours, until it hit me.. I got a little depressed about life itself to be honest. I'm fantastic now, don't worry. But here's why:
See, I realized something. Nothing compares to death.
People complain about their situations.. But are they really that bad? So bad that they cannot be over-come? We tend to make our situations far worse than they need to be. Why am I bringing this up?
Well, I don't know what happened in this situation.. I don't know why he committed suicide.. I don't understand the troubles he had, or the reasoning behind it.. But I do know one thing. Nothing compares to ending your life. It is irreversible. As long as you are living and breathing, you can fix your problems. If you are dead however, you cannot do anything. You're just completely surrendering.
The reason I am making this post is because as much as this situation is depressing, and incredibly heart-breaking (The guy was a legend), I still got some inspiration from it. The motivation to never give up no matter what.. Because as long as you are breathing, you can over-come anything. The motivation to stop letting others control you, and limit you, and ruin your life, and instead take life by the horns and own it.
You have absolutely nothing to lose, and everything to gain! Nothing compares to death.
This also gave me a reality check. The fact that life is too short. So many people are taking life for granted.. Not doing the things they want to do because of the unimportant limitations like money, fear, anxiety, depression, etc. You need to start living! You can do absolutely what ever you want with your life. No one is stopping you. People will try, but just ignore them! Just go and live your dreams right now!!
Ask yourself this question: "If I were to die today, would I be satisfied with my life so far?" If the answer doesn't completely make you happy, then you need to start living. Throw away any fear that you may have. It's unnecessary, and just holding you back.
Here is a music video of Linkin Park to commemorate Chester Bennington. I'll admit, their music isn't for everyone, but it's about the passion. The music tells stories of it's own.
More than how much this post can make, I care far more about getting my content in front of newer faces. So if you would like to show your appreciation, it would be awesome of you to resteem this, and share it with others!

This article is amazing. Linkin Park was the first band I listened to growing up. Their music connected with me during my middle school years and fit me perfectly. Chester Bennington made that band who they are today. He put so much passion in his singing and everything he did, you could feel it. I hope this article touches a lot of people and helps them realize that there's always a way out no matter what. A friend of mine committed suicide a few months ago and it was tough. It's hard to think what could drive someone to do that and what problems they're dealing with. Even in the darkest day, there's always someone out there. Reach out to friends, family, or even strangers, there's always someone. It's also important to surround yourself with good people who are positive and optimistic. The saying " birds of a feather flock together" is so true. If you're negative and always thinking bad, you will attract that kind of people. But if you're positive and always have a smile on your face, you will attract positive people and your life will be so much better. Never let anyone get you down or tell you that you're not good enough. No one is better than anyone else, it's a made-up stigma in this superficial world. If someone is trying to put you down, it's only because you're above them. Stay positive, surround yourself with positive people, and ignore the naysayers ( they're jealous of anyone that's better than them because their life sucks). If you do all of these things, you'll find out that life is a wonderful place to enjoy with friends, family, and anyone in between. The sooner you realize this, the sooner you'll really start living :)
Absolutely awesome comment my man! This is what I enjoy reading.
To be honest, it's quite tough to reply to something like this LOL! But yeah, I agree with all your statements. I mean, no matter what happens, there are always ways to change your life. I agree, the first step will definitely be to attract some more positively-thinking people into your life.
There's only really a handful of things that you do to really start feeling great. The thing is, once you are in the depression state, it's 10X more difficult to be optimistic. That's why for us it's easier to say, 'just be positive', but for those who truly are depressed, they make their situation 10X worse than it needs to be..
Anyways, nice seeing you again my dude! Keep well, and talk soon.
oh god. Suicide is not the answer to solve the problem. Its a common thing to do now a days just because they can't face their problems they're ending up just killing themselves. Life is a struggle but u should be smart to fix it with your own normal and positive way. Indeed he is my idol and a great fuckin singer . Aw Im gonna miss him. 😢
You're so right, Haley. You sound very strong-willed by talking like that. I like it!
Agreed, he was an incredible singer and we will miss him..
Glad you enjoyed it :) Talk soon my friend.
Sometimes I wonder seeing pictures of people who are always smiling and laughing ... are they really happy? Or is the smile on face a way to cover up what's going on within. Everyone has issues that bother them and reasons that make them sad with just the thought of it. However, it all depends on they are perceived.. are we magnifying them? Are those problem too trivial and we make project them to be a huge deal? Today, we are all moving at such a fast pace that we forget little things in life and how to be happy with whatever we are and whatever we have. I wish we all slowed down and reflected back and appreciated the way things are. Feel terrible about Chester 🙁
It's true, many people have hidden insecurities. I realized that the other day when I was watching how some famous actors live their lives. How they have to look so confident and so amazing, but deep down they are still only human. They still have feelings. They still get nervous.
People can tend to make the situation much more dramatic than it needs to be, but who is that really helping? If anything, it's just slowing them down.
It's true. Every single year, the world just start moving faster.. People want instant gratification for everything. We need to slow our expectations down a bit and just focus on the overall picture.
Thanks for your comment! Talk soon @Jars!
Well said !!
As a Soldier (LP's fans) myself I have found good comments about him, but none of them truly meaningful, because suddenly everyone knows him and their trayectory, but no one knew or bothered to knew beyond a TMZ article what Chester and Linkin Park meant to us, the Soldiers. Part of us, like me, grew with him, or began at music (I for example began to sing), others just enjoyed and felt the heart at their songs.
But, this right here, was what I was expecting to read about him, not a simple "omg this is awful hope he's fine now RIP", but someone who actually saw what we saw on him without being a Soldier nor a regular fan.
For that, I have to thank you, and of course upvote you! Because that's what he and the guys tried to do with One More Light, gives us hope beyond any darkness. Step up and go on. Grab the life by its horns like you said.
Really, thank you!
Thank you for your beautiful comment @Nina-Winchester. People need to look deeper than just the lyrics. Not just in songs, but in life. There's far more to things in any given situation than people realize.
I'm glad you enjoyed this. I really felt passion when I was writing this article, and I meant it! I appreciate that :)
I am trying to post 2 high quality blog posts per day nowadays, so stay tuned :) Talk soon.
Tha passion you say it's noticeable, and was exactly the reason I liked so much your post. I'll stay tuned! <3
Awesome my friend talk again soon!
I have made a few more posts haha. Let me know your thoughts if you get inspirations for them.
For sure! No problem ;)
I grew up middle and high school years listening to Linkin Park ... breaks my heart that Chester took his own life ... now listening to Linkin Park songs will mean so much more and different.
So very true. Just stay positive :)
