MU Official Loans Marcel Sabitzer

Manchester United have signed a replacement for the injured Christian Eriksen. The Red Devils have just completed a move for Marcel Sabitzer.
Quoted from the club's official website, Sabitzer is on loan from Bayern Munich until June 2023. This is after Sabitzer completed his transfer process at the deadline for the January transfer market, Wednesday (1/2/2023) early morning WIB.

It didn't take long for Sabitzer to accept MU's offer, who were looking for a temporary replacement for Eriksen, who suffered an ankle ligament injury and was sidelined until early May.

The presence of Sabitzer is expected to maintain the strength of the midfield, considering that the Austrian player has extraordinary qualities during his time in the Bundesliga.

He has been playing in the league since 2014 when he was recruited by RB Leipzig. Sabitzer played a total of 229 times with a score of 52 goals during his seven years there.

Sabitzer then moved to Bayern in 2021 to follow Julian Nagelsmann. However, he was hit by minimal flying hours because he only played 54 times and scored two goals.

"Marcel has been on our radar for a long time. The opportunity came quickly and we know he is a player with the ability and character to make an impact at this club. He will add quality to our squad as well as experience in the anti-space. We are all very pleased to welcome him at Manchester United," MU Director of Football John Murtough was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

Marcel Sabitzer becomes United's third signing of January after signings Jack Butland and Wout Weghorst, all of whom are also on loan.
