the other day I've managed to find out that every day steemit is rewarding curators and authors with STEEM worth few thousands usd.
Most of it is going to be sold. So supply is very high every single day.
At the same time current demand simply cannot match this supply and it's a bit hard for me to imagine how could we change it with current bearish market.
That's just sad reality. Until trust towards crypto will be recovered, prices of all alts (including steem) will surely be very low. This is obviously great time for anyone trying to build influence to buy some cheap steem.

Dear Piotr, i think the main problem is that Steem is mostly on the hands of who bought it worth of cents and now they are selling a lot due to price going down, so now is our time, for who bought Steem in the beginning of 2018 when it was 8 usd and now is almost 20 times less, so i am trying to recover my loss, but is not easy after this orrible 2018...:(((
