Curating at 50%

Before long Hardfork 21 will be coming to the Steem blockchain and the Steemit platform. As most Steemians know, this brings some controversy with it, much of which stems from the plan to shift post rewards to 50% for authors and curators.

At the same time this controversy is going on many Steem communities have already switched, or been founded on, a 50% curation model, like PALnet, BattleGames, and Steem Leo without there being nearly as much controversy in those communities about it. While many have concerns about this sort of model when it comes to Steem and Steemit, the model seems to be working just fine for the other communities that use it.

With so many communities embracing this model there must be something good about it and they must find value in it. To all those that are concerned about this model with Steemit I would just say to take a look at these other communities and see how it’s working for them.
