One year in crypto
I was introduced to Steemit by my wife @karolinaholm a bit more than a year ago. With no experience in blockchain and cryptocurrency stuff I was intrigued and curious - learning new stuff and perhaps making some cash sound fun, right?
Steemit led me to digital asset wallets and trading platforms and as I was learning PHP programming at the time I got the perfect idea for a project developing my coding skills; a simple automated trading tool using the Bittrex API to buy and sell altcoins. I'm certainly not a math guy but my more or less improvised algorithm actually performed ever so slightly better than random.
Thanks to my amazing wife, some lines of PHP and the incredible rise of BTC last year multiplied my modest investment in crypto currency. For christmas I bought her a Samsung smart watch from www.webhallen.se and of course a paid it directly with Bitcoin.
The 2018 downtrend in BTC complicated the trading for me, I took a long break from crypto and kinda forgot about Steemit in the process. I recently started playing around with Python programming and the idea of automated trading came back to me, and here I am again on Steemit. So, what should I get her for christmas this year?
The perfect gift, well let her know that you owe her a lifesteem-time commitment to improve the digital world. Oh and a travel destination of her choice, maybe.
