RE: Is $2.00 steem the new norm?
It will probably settle lower in the future. I don't see people paying $2 per Steem to power up and see no impact on their accounts. Let's say you put $1000 US to buy Steem and power up....You will still end up being a minnow, with some 400 SP and zero influence. Your money will be stuck for 2 years on a ultra high risk investment.
I may be wrong, but I see this price going down to 10 cents or so... this will bring the $15K payouts to a more realistic level. Meanwhile they keep creating money out of thin air.
Why wold that benefit me or you. Wouldn't you want $5 steem. That gives you a 3 X on your investment.
What we want doesn't matter., right? This is what I believe that will happen, based on my limited knowledge. We shouldn't see this as a investment, there's now way one can predict where this thing is going and if the SP or Steem will actually have any value 2 years from now. Ultra high risk investment in my opinion. For example.... I have a post that got a whale vote and it was worth $700 a week ago, but because the upvote was after the first 12 hours, it will take 4 weeks for the payout... right now the payout is around $250. This is a huge price fluctuation in just a week, can you imagine in 2 years?
I honestly hope that the platform succeeds and we can actually make some money here.
