RE: This is Why SMTs Will Solve the Economics of the Steem Blockchain: “The World is Not a Large Village” - Skin in the Game

in #steem6 years ago

Really practical what you’re saying too many people are caught up with ethical surface issues as if the perfect system exists and it’s just a few development deploys away and everyone will be happy and rich!

The platform can only give you back what you put in same with well everything in life, I don’t see why blockchain would be some sort of exception

Even if we didn’t have dApps or SMTs niche communities supporting one another was always the way to go in growing this blockchain it’s just going to hopefully encourage it at scale in future and out less stress on steemit inc to deliver solutions and people bitching about it

Lol, that would certainly be nice if it plays out in everyone's favor! I'm optimistic about the possibilities that smaller communities around SMTs will bring better economics both to the individual and to the blockchain as a whole!

Absolutely, by fragmenting into smaller communities, I definitely see people focusing more on how they develop their own community and project rather than beating the shit out of the Steemit, inc team to deliver on the dev side. SMTs are likely to empower these communities to be more like Steem Monsters and make their own economics work by focusing on what is within their power (and that power will be a lot greater when they can control their own token, rewards pool, curation/author, etc.)

Exactly. It creates a big fish in a small pond effect. It actually makes so a person feel they can influence things. I like your open mindedness as I see people too much are trying to make it into a black and white situation. The logical mind trying to make fast conclusions and sticking to it. When we are dealing with nuanced humans
