How To Get Noticed On Steemit ~

Building up a following is a lot harder than I thought if youre a minnow like myself. Ive been on the platform less than a week and have averaged over 10 followers a day. Not to bad for starting out in my opinion. But how did I do it and what did I notice?

Starting out I was constanly posting blogs and and hoping people would see them, but it wasnt working. Then I saw a video by @trevonjb stating to follow people who are on the trending page AKA "Whales".

Eventhough they didnt follow me back... :( Im going to tell you why to follow them.

You want to check your feed and I soon as a Steem Whale makes a blog post you want to read it and analyze the information as fast as you can and be the first person to write a thoughtful legitimate comment.

"Sweet Pics"

Those comments will not work.

Although they are nice and you want to leave a genuine comment and give thanks to the blogger that is perfectly fine. But if you want to interact and make people notice you, you need to be more creative. Ask questions, give suggestions. You want to be an asset to this community.

I remember I read a post and I was intrigued by the post and I began typing away and by the next morning. I had 40+ follower notifications. The blog was on the trending page and people were able to notice me since my comment was upvoted the most.

Also, something that might help is your picture selection. The first picture that is uploaded to your blog will be the first picture that catches peoples attention. So if youre thinking about putting a few pictures on your post, you might want to select the best picture and begin your blog post pertaining to that one picture.

Ive personally noticed that if the post doesnt have a good picture on it...

On to the next one!
