What Happened To Paying Interest To Hold STEEM Dollars To Keep the $1 Peg?

Am I missing something? It seems like these times when the STEEM Dollar has been yanked under $1 the interest isn't being paid like it was back in 2016?
And you have guys seen bitUSD? It suddenly exploded up to $25.41 but only for the SCORUM / BTS market. So Maybe if you had bitUSD you could sell it for a bunch of SCR right now and then sell the SCR for ETH. I haven't checked the order books too heavily but it might be something to look into. There isn't a ton of liquidity. Maybe 1BTC worth.
I am still hopeful for the SBD pump. But maybe if a Korean exchange would open. @brianphobos
Because we have idiots as witness... duh...
I think stability is a great thing, have you seen https://defipulse.com ?
