Took me a moment to understand you were implying they were in trouble because they have two women in power. It is a fallacy to think that all women are incapable of being efficient and reliable. It is also not probable that they have enough control to wreck Ned's wealth. It makes more sense that even if they were inept as you imply (which as I said is not a given), that they are there to act as a buffer between Ned and the community, which has not been overly kind to Ned since I got here.
