Ha! And, ughm, since this seems to be conjecture, what role do you expect Steemit to play in this 'surge'?
Based on prior experience with other blogging sites that bit the dust, I'm still not convinced that the platform as it exists today is sustainable long-term.
However, I am cautiously, and hopefully optimistic.
