You have very valid points I can't disagree with you on any of them.
Have you considered on trying out steempeak.com which is more comfortable to use than Steemit.com and has some features which allow you to rely less on steemd and steemworld? :)
Yes I didn't mention it in the post, but I also use steempeak - actually I use it when I'm interested in finding new good photography content as a feed there is shown much better way than in steemit. I also found out that steemlookup.com gives me even more control about trying to find undervalued content with interesting people. Still yet missing tool where I can filter out all vote-bots posts out.
