No graphs this time, just a feeling of what is going on out there.
I am not a genius regarding to cryptos, but honestly i am observing a good tendency on STEEM and SBD since the great fall of the BTC (which happened due to an enormous amount of events at global scale).
First because on the worst of times of BTC (around a month ago) STEEM barely touched the value that hold for almost 8 months last year (around 2 dollars) and SBD wasn't even close to go back to its 1 dollars "fixed" value. Now that we see the BTC finally breathing (coming back to the 10k dollars per unit) STEEM already got the sweet spot of over 4 dollars and SBD is having fun around the $5.5.
Honestly, I think this is a great tendency, and it is also because of all the work that is going on behind the scenes that improve the quality of the platform (or maybe it just makes it bigger).
One of those examples is the Vice Project, who plans to pay its users for watching porn and is based on the blockchain of Steemit (forget about fapping for free my friends!). Although there is a lot of other projects being created out there, being based on the blockchain that we daily visit.
This is also a great why people keeps betting on this platform, because 1. The whole potential it has 2.
That potential is actually being exploded.

If I was an investor, I would say that Steemit has a lot of protential yet to achieve, and a lot of goals to be done.
This will make the price of its coins keep rising, but again, it also depends of its users and investors, who put their savings and cryptos in here for believing in the platform.
For all those, if any is reading this... I strongly believe that you are getting your investment back with HELLA LOT of earnings =)
So mark my words, great times are coming for us, my fellow steemians, just wait and see. But I must warn you:
be patient and ice cold, because it will be hard sometimes (as it was on the past month).
Another factor that makes me think that STEEM and SBD is about to explode is the great investment this has from eastern Asia and (I know that it doesn't come exactly from China... but...) the Great Chinese New Year is about to end (though its celebrations will last for at least few more weeks). Once it does, get ready for an exponential increase on the value of cryptos in general.
Please take my words carefully, because again, I am not a genius and I am even less in matter of cryptos. But TBH I think that even self-proclaimed geniuses are just gambling when they talk about the future of cryptos.
This is honestly a way too new platform to be able to predict it with accuracy.
Not much more to say... my plans at the moment are to have an even better ratio of SBD to STEEM and change my rewards as soon as I can into STEEM. I want to keep betting to this platform and I will keep doing it.

Excellent article. But I don't quite understand how there's an ICO on the Steem blockchain. How does that work, exactly? Where are those tokens stored, if one decides to participate in the ICO?
I believe it largely depends of the ICO itself... But it has many different ways to use the Steemit blockchain =)
Even I don't have that much knowledge about crypto thing but I am slowly getting it into my head and I agree with you there is a lot of potential and it is exploding. Behind the curtain work is definitely goin on. But in the end I would only say, let it grow, it's helping out people immensely
absolutely, it just needs time to be done! Patient is the best tool here for people like us =)
No need to be genius, be you and do your job sincerely, Almighty Allah will help you to get more SBD and Steem! Just trust on him!

Thanks for the information. I have heard many opinions, that Steem will cost very high by the end of 2018. It'll be cool if it comes to pass. I believe in this!
That would be awesome TBH... and let's try to imagine, how it will be if Steemit becomes something trending as Facebook? You know how masses and society are... they need some time to adapt and understand how the whole gig works! So I wouldn't be so surprised if Steemit becomes the next gen platform.

I think Vice changed, they don't plan to run on the STEEM blockchain anymore and want to have their own blockchain, but don't quote me on this one, i made a fast research because i don't have any money to invest atm so no need to do an extensive research
I wouldn't know what to say... as far as i knew it was working, but same as you, I haven't put any money on 'em, so I rapidly lost interest on their news

That's right friend. Huge potential here. It seems I can already hear people in the future saying that age old sentence, "I should have got in when it was at only a few dollars."
