Steem Lighting Africa Launches in Uyo High School, Uyo Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria (5/12/2024)

Greetings ladies and gentlemen of our dear steemit platform I wish to express my happiness and gratitude witnessing a successful launching of our beacon of hope "Steem Lighting Africa as it light up Uyo High School Uyo, Akwa Ibom state of Nigeria.

After receiving the invitation to attend the launching in Uyo High School as it was announced by ubongudofort. Though I am a very busy person but I made plans to attend the occasion for my joy to be complete.

And when I got there I wasn't disappointed with what I saw. The first thing that captured my attention was the solar panels carefully mounted outside the computer laboratory where solar equipment like inverters are installed.

Because of the nature of light in my state and country at large, the students found it difficult to make good use of the computer laboratory and even if they tried to use other means like generator, the cost of purchasing fuel makes it abortive.

The provision of a renewable energy supply like solar is a dream come true for the students, and as such, they have promised that the system will by no means be vandalised or handled in an unethical manner.

After the launching of the equipment, ubongudofort further talks more about the equipment, and the ICT teacher was called to pay more attention as that is his area of specially "the computer laboratory" where the inverters were kept.

The vice principal, with joy in his heart, appreciating the solar system offered us wine and bottled water to cold down ourselves as the weather was very hot.

Part two of the launching programme took place at Ibom Museum Park, where we were entertained with some freshly tapped local wine and pepper soup fresh fish prepared by @eliany in her kiosk and sponsored by @ubongudofort

I once again say a very big thank you to him for the initiative of lighting Africa and his kind gesture.

I strongly believe that the launching and the steem Lighting Africa project will pave the way for a sustainable tomorrow, as well as fostering innovation and growth.
