I have a Shotgun(5 rounds ammo) , flashlight and a Plant Field Guide. I need to eat at the end of day 6 and I choose Option 8 - using my shotgun I carefully aim and fire 5 rounds at the grazing cow.

By this comment I know that @beetroot is attempting to shoot the grazing cow in the vital organs and is willing to risk up to 5 rounds of ammunition.

Sharpe's Rifles chooses Option 8. We will both shoot with our rifles, using 2 bullets each (4 bullets total). Maybe our chainsaw friend will show up and help butcher the carcass.
