steem-music 006: How Do you feel?

Sometimes I convince myself
That all is fine in the world
It's not mine
Why should I have to try
To fix things I didn't create or contrive

It's been a hectic week for me and it's been 3 days since I've posted. It's been a gruesome schedule but thankfully music is therapeutic and honestly it's been the energy driver that motivates me to get through the day. Some activities are energy sappers but you're gonna need your own dose of recharge! Is music the kind of release you need?

What moves you?

I like listening to punk music! If you have not heard of the music I post on this space, you'll find a lot of songs include guitar shredding and heavy beats on the drums! I know it's loud for a lot of people but for some reason it calms me. I zone out whenever I listen to songs like this.

Do You Feel

This is Rocket Summers, Do You Feel and it's been my therapy for the week!

Do you feel
The weight of the world singing sorrow?
Or to you is it just not real
Because you got your own things
Yeah we all have so many things

I like how this song sarcastically and accurately points to the problem of societal apathy. Is it just not real? Or are we too busy with our own things to care. And it drives me to want to be a better man. The thought and the feeling it provokes me is that I have to get better at what I do to contribute to society. These songs I enjoy listening to because It gives me a kick to improve and get better!

Lip service makes us look great

The meaning is not to ask you to keep lip service but the meaning behind is don't just speak it, do it! I don't know about you but that to me, is poetic genius!

How do you like it?

I also enjoy the blend of good groovy sounds mixed with lyrics that are poetically or politically pieced together. That's what I feel makes a great song. Be it sarcastic, be it if it's skillfully orchestrated or even just plain simple chords. If the Rhythm and verses don't mesh, It usually doesn't attract me too much. I guess it just comforts me that there is beauty in the loud chaos that happens within punk rock pop music!
