Hide the author to improve content
So the problem is people and bots are voting on content just due to its author to get curation rewards. 
Here is solution:
Hide author names for first 1hour.
If the content is good it will wise to the top. If it doesn't rise when the author is revealed it will surely gain ground.
This will:
Help find new sources of good content. Make three times periods interesting :
- new post
- 30 minute full curation reward
- author revealed.
It might also be fun to guess the author in comments, increasing gamification.
Even if authors sign the post inside at least someone will have to read to the signature before voting for a favored author.
This should elevate new content and spread wealth around.
