I got in during Jan 2017, and got to live through low price Steem, as low as 5 cents I think. It was a good time to accumulate Steem.
I've seen it. Unfortunately I only came across Steemit towards the end of august where the price was about $1.60. It never really dropped below a dollar from then on so I did put a small bit of money in but most of my SP I have earned from the site itself. It would have been nice to be able to buy a few thousand when it was cheap but such is life.
Hopefully this time next year people will be saying the same about $3 Steem. Until then I will keep working away and learning more about the crypto world.

I had a chance to load up, but I only bought a bit. Low prices can scare you into not believing in the future potential. I bought at 7 cents.
I have gained the majority of my Steem though just through posting content. I do 50/50, and always keep the SP & then bring the SBD to the market for trading or whatever.
