First Tokens Bought and Burned from Nitrous Ads

PAL, SPORTS, NEOXAG, ACTNEARN all got the burn! For the first two weeks of running ads we served up 100,000 impressions of Splinterlands ads total. There are more google ads, but I still have work to do to get paid by google so this first chunk of burning isn't even the whole amount.

Ads Served

In the first 17 days of running ads on 4 nitrous instances we had requests for 100,000 Splinterlands ads. We served 96,000 ads. There were some hardbork days in there so you can see where the total number of ads released on a few days goes down.

Splinterlands is purchasing these ads at $1 CPM.

The ads served were 6614 to actnearn.com, 10688 to neoxian.city, 24241 to palnet.io and 54060 to sportstalksocial.com.

As a result I spent $6.61 buying ACTNEARN (8850 tokens), $10.69 buying NEOXAG (1970), $24.24 buying PAL (1444 tokens), and I purchased $54.06 of SPORTS and then tossed in a little more for free since they had the highest toal bringing the overall tokens purchased to 279,835.

Money coming in from Splinterlands players

The flow of cash here is players --> splinterlands --> tribes

It's ultimately the purchasing of Splinterlands cards by players that are paying for the advertising and tribe tokens burned. These days we do get purchases in eth, steem, ltc, btc, tron, dec, and other cryptos, but the majority of what is being purchased is in USD. So, this is new money entering the ecosystem, and this portion is being distributed at a flat rate based on stake ownership to all tribe token owners.

$100 might be small to start, but it's literally the first two weeks.

If there becomes more competition for ads then prices of the ads will start rising and the amount burned per tribe will go up as well.

Tribes

There's over 50 tribes now. It's a one time cost to get ads up on your site, and then after that you make money without any additional costs. I strongly encourage each and every tribe to get these ads placed on their site. We also work to get google ads showing too but they make less money and they aren't crypto specific so they are less of a priority.

Advertisers

It's pretty hard to beat $1 CPM and the vast majority of the money goes back into ecosystem to the token hodlers. If you have projects that you think need eyeballs give us a shot. It's pretty easy to setup up. We just need some basic contact information and ads in some or all of these sizes.

Ad value: get eyeballs

If you want to see your token moon there's now a straight path. Get eyeballs, serve ads, get tokens burned. Each and every stakeholder has incentive to get others using the site. It's literally that simple. Good luck, get eyeballs!
