Steem Music & Steem Cartoon : Plotting our Milestones
The First Pledge
We remember vividly that the basis of forming our community was to give visibility to the cartoonist who are struggling to make ends meet with this new platform. That time Steem was only $0.80. We also told them that this community will be the community that they can count on for support. We do not want to move from our promises and this month we will step up our efforts to promote #steem-cartoon to the larger art community.

The student of Multimedia University would be done with their yearly exams and would have some free time to resume their posting and there will be more contest organised by #steem-cartoon with more exciting and challenging themes. We also intend to have an extension to steem-cartoon which shall include the special effects (SFX) and animation to our community that we are now growing.
So, there will be a more diversed range of talents that you will start to see in this platform. There will be more active exchange of ideas and a support system will be put in place for curation to ensure that everyone have their fair share of the reward.
Reaching Out to Youths
In March, #steem-cartoon will be making effort to reach out to the youths through some programs that are initiated by Non Governmental Organisations (NGO) as part of our social outreach effort. This effort will see us spreading the steemit message of blogging, engagement and earning some cryptos in the process.
There is a roadshow that is now in the pipeline that involves the Government of Malaysia that we are currently working on. Too early to divulge the details but this program is to help the younger crowd who are obsessed with social media to divert their social media prowess to a more beneficial route. On top of that, this program is also meant to teach the youth today of the benefits of the blockchain technology and how it has impacted the lives of many and how it will impact even more lives in the future.

We have our fortnight gigs and for each event, we take the effort to reach out to a new community. The last event was about a philanthropy group called Small Changes, Big Difference. Tonight it is about #teammalaysiababes and celebrating International Women's Day.
We make the entire engagement livelier and at the same time this meetups is our platform to spread the idea of social media blogging as a source of income to artists. Our live performance is also meant to make the engagement more exciting and give newcomer a chance to mingle with others that are already in this platform.
Our University Tour
Three universities are currently awaiting their semester to start and they have confirmed their invitation to us as their guests to spread our message. These three universities are public institution of higher learning with music course as their degree course and we believe that our program will enrich them in terms of worldwide engagement. It can actually be part of their academic course.
There are quite a lot of planning and execution that is ongoing and the support from the music communities in steemit is very important to us. There is a plan to implement an automated curation system that will benefit those who regularly contribute quality posts.
Planning our Big Day
The concert that we have planned as early as in January will eventually take place in the month of April or May depending on the availability of concert hall. There are a few sponsors that are willing to give us a venue to help us cut down the costs and allow us to present music like what it should be...inexpensive.

We are still arranging our lineup of artists and what I can say at the moment, the support is tremendous and we are very proud to say that we believe this will be the very first concert held that will be captured, blogged and reblogged in the steem blockchain.
There will also be more recruitment process particular from social media influencers that are also feeling the pinch of not being remunerated enough despite having huger followings. I would say, let the figures speak for itself if reward is what motivates them.

This is a great opportunity to many young people out there. Communities will surely make them stronger and grow faster. They need some kind of support in every activities they are involving. They cannot be left alone in their own world without guidance and support. They need to be noticed and recognized.

#steem-cartoon has definitely come a long way within an amazingly short span. it couldn’t have been done without the hard work of you all. more than just growing in numbers as a community, I believe many lives has been changed, especially artists, who in turn will change many lives. keep on keeping on. we truly appreciate all the hard work you’ve put into #steem-music as well!
Yup... it's going to be a great tour all around creative University in Malaysia... few queries from ASWARA and UiTM: Art and Design... UPSI with steem-music... looking forward to it... yay!

These are GREAT ideas. Teaming up with NGO's and touring across different Universities will be huge in getting the word out. From there, steemit will spread by word of mouth like wild fire.
