Reclaiming Our Playground
Keeping Bullies off Our Playground
Lately there are these bunch of guys who come to our playground. They are dressed in red and they are loud. They have slogans and they move in herds. We felt a bit intimidated. They told us that to continue playing in the playground we got to contribute. But we have been playing in the same playground and there was no upgrade but we are happy to be in the same playground. It was quite worrying because to start with we don't have much in our pockets and now there are some extra charges and they say will make our lives better.
I was thinking how does my life get better if there is always not enough of money in my wallet. We have been paying them to avoid further harassment but again we have no idea where our money went. But we heard that they bought new bicycles and frisbees and playing among themselves.
Some of us were thinking whether we should continue to play in the same playground or just move to another playground where at least there are better swings, monkey bars and sand box to play. But again, the memories we had in this playground is difficult to forget. Sweet memories.
Some Voices
There are some faint voices from the oppressed. They say lets rally and make a difference. This is our playground and we cannot continue to be bullied but again there is a bit of distrust and confusion. The guy who leads this voices of dissent used to be one of them. He could very well be playing frisbee with them and sip on the bottle of coke and continue to bully us. Why has he suddenly repented?
Suddenly I realised how stupid my questions was. We are dealing with some ruffians on our playground and having more friends is much more important than to scrutinize someone's history and motive. So, I decide if my friends are going to ask for their sand scoop, plastic trucks and swings I am not going to let them do it alone. At least the fat boy who has been drinking coke with his friends doesn't party with my pocket money meant for lunch!
wow I love this!! 👍👍🇲🇾🇲🇾
