The Story Behind This Drawing?
The girls were visiting the annual town fair for a tour of the amazing selection of fruits and vegetables they had for sale, when they see the Rowdyruff boys in the same area as well...
--
Blossom, who spotted Brick's cap and tall figure a mile away, immediately became suspicious of his presence there. The town fair didn't really seem like a... 'Brick' place, especially with all the happy people around him to ruin his 'dark and intimidating' mood. Blossom gagged at the thought, Brick was the most self centered person she'd ever met, next in line would be his brothers. Gathering herself up, she approached him from behind and announced her presence.
"Ahem. Brick," she said in a monotone voice.
The redhead's shoulder stiffed hearing the throat-clearing he heard way too often, and he slowly turned around to face her.
"Blossom," he replied in the same manner, his gaze cold and irritated.
"What are you doing here?"
"Browsing." He said, a sultry gaze on his face as he glanced around at the things around them. Blossom's brows furrowed as she calculated the chances of him actually talking about the fruits and not the girls. But then again, since when had he ever been interested in anything but himself?
Her eyes widened as she realized his intense gaze on her.
He sighed inwardly as he readjusted his cap. "Fuck, Blossom. Can't you let me go just once? What do you want?" He huffed and then her eyes assumed its usual glare.
"Language, Brick. I only wanted to make sure you and your brothers aren't up to anything. Even if you were, we'll make sure to stop you before you even try."
"It's 2018, Blossom," he said, her name rolling off his tounge in the strangest way, "It's the New Years, we just want to have a good time. We wouldn't even try anything."
But before an hour had even passed after their conversation, his brothers had destroyed a whole row of fruit vendors, angering the girls and resulting in another battle between them that lasted only an hour.
Blossom had been prepared and immobilized Brick before stuffing him into the prize winner of the biggest strawberry in town. Which, of course, only pissed him off even more.
"IT'S 2018, YOU WITCH! I WASN'T INVOLVED IN WHATEVER DUMB SHIT MY BROTHERS WERE DOING-" He cursed. Blossom laughed it off and went back to apologizing to the owner of that huge strawberry. Only resulting in the owner giving her a whole basket of regular-sized strawberries, in which she gladly accepted and ate to her heart's content.
As for the other two? We'll find out next time... (If there's another competition involving Blue and Green haha)

Wow, my writing has gotten so rusty throughout the years, I've actually haven't written anything proper in like... 5-6 years? I kinda miss it actually. I really hope I can get back to it because its so fun to write !
Hope you guys liked the short story I wrote!
PROCESS
Personal Notes
Honestly, Blossom's face had surprised me. Because usually when I try to go for a more realistic look for a girl, it always ends up wonky somehow, either with the eyes or the nose or the mouth. So, I'm pretty happy with the results this time!
Also, Brick is an idiot.
STEP 1 : SKETCHING
Sketching this was so fun because the focus was on that flowy hair of hers! I love drawing hair, simply because of how fun it is to do the strokes. Hair is so limitless and free! At first, Brick wasn't even supposed to be there, but the drawing lacked a bit of a subject so I decided to add him to the mix. Use blue for sketches so that you may differentiate it from your outlines in the next step.
STEP 2 : OUTLINING
Here, the outline colour needs to black so that we can differentiate between each parts of the drawing clearer. Any mistakes you made in the sketch may be fixed here.
STEP 3 : FLAT COLOURS
Determine what colours fits best for the mood of the drawing and use references for the colours if you're unsure of what to pick. Always use references!
STEP 4 : DARKER SHADES AND SHADING
Shade the strawberries and all the red in the drawing! Determine your light source (mine was from the left) and put the shades in the opposite direction.
STEP 5 : MORE SHADES
I separated the hair part because it includes highlights and shades. Just like before, colour a darker hue on the opposite side of the light, and this time, add a highlight on her hair of a lighter hue to have a shiny, silky look!
STEP 6
Patterns always makes something look better. I think the consistency is pleasing to the human eye. Polka dot is a common and safe choice so go with that. I also chose it because the strawberry properties of the seeds on a strawberry. Then you need a nice contrast for the background, so I chose green for the strawberry stem and a brother to Steemit's theme colour.
And that's it for this post, hope you guys had fun reading it, I had fun writing it! I appreciate all the support given to me so far, and I hope I can give it back. Have a nice week!

you draw so well. i havent started my digi art practice yet :(
and im too tired of doing traditional for one whole year straight. im losing energy :(
Ahhh I see ! Looking forward to it then ^^
And I totally understand what you mean about traditional drawing draining your energy. Whenever I finish a painting session, I just want to collapse on a chair and sleep XD
Why not start with the digi practice yet?
Wow... hm... Makes me rethink about how i post my blog articles a lot ._. But... but i draw so much for my webcomics, where can i find that much time to write about the whole process behind it xD thanks for your dedication and time nonetheless !
Good drawing, is beautiful i loved
I invite you to see my sketches and illustrations. Greetings from Venezuela.
I love the shade of red you used. It makes me want to eat a strawberry! Great work on this.
Haha thanks! Actually, most of the colours here were taken from the original character's colour palette, for more accuracy ! :3
Oh wow! Very talented :) keep up the good work!
Thank you @princessrin !
I think I've seen one of your jobs the other day. The touch of "traditional art" that you put on your drawings is beautiful!!
